In 2012, the Port of Salalah achieved an increase of over 13% in container volume with a reduction of over 50% in injury accidents. In 2013, the company continues to strive to eliminate any incident of injury or damage from our operations.

On March 4, 2013, an asset damage incident took place resulting in 10 damaged containers. Due to the strict processes that separate staff and equipment, there were no human injuries at the site. The company's management is investigating the root cause that led to the RTG (Rubber Tyre Gantry) crane to drive into the stationary containers.

Port of Salalah places a significant emphasis on safety of its people and the safety investigation will lead to key safety learning points that are shared throughout the company's departments.

The cargo in the containers, plastic raw material, poses no danger to the environment or health of employees. Immediately the undamaged cargo was reloaded for the customer into new containers. The company is in direct contact with the customers and insurance departments to follow all appropriate measures.

The company is invested in its overall safety record and operations at the port. نود إفادتكم بأن ميناء صلالة حقق زيادة بحجوم الحاويات في عام 2012 تجاوزت 13%، وفي الوقت ذاته وبجهود الإدارة في تحقيق عوامل السلامة ومتابعتها في أرجاء الميناء تقلصت نسبة الحوادث المؤدية الى إصابات باكثر من 50%. و في عام 2013، قد زادت تواصل الشركة وتركيزها على السلامة للحد من حصول الإصابات أو الحوادث في العمليات.

قد حصل في الرابع من مارس 2013 حادث أدى الى وقوع أضرار بعشر حاويات فقط من غير اي إصابات بشرية وذلك نتيجة للتعليمات الصارمة بشأن إبعاد القوة العاملة عن مواقع المعدات. باشرت الإدارة بالتحقيق في الحادث مباشرة لتقصي الأسباب التي ادت الى إصطدام رافعة جسرية (آر تي جي) بعمود من الحاويات. ومن المؤمل أن تقود نتائج التحقيق الى دروس رئيسية سوف تعمم على جميع دوائر الشركة من أجل تحقيق سلامة الجميع.

كانت الحاويات المتضررة تحوي على مواد بلاستك خام، وهذه المادة لا تشكل خطراً على صحة العاملين في الميناء أو على البيئة. وقد إتخذوا الموظفين إجراءات فورية للتحكم ب الضرر والإتصال المباشر مع الزبائن المعنية ودوائر التامين لغرض إتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة.
