Financial Supervisor
Financial Supervisor
Purpose: This role is integral in managing financial operations of Oasis Club financial transactions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, overseeing stock management, and maintaining compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate and execute internal auditors’ requests/recommendations and ensure timely submission of financial documents.
2. Stock Control Management:
- Inventory control management, including tracking stock levels, and conducting regular stock audits.
- Implement and maintain effective stock control procedures to minimize wastage and discrepancies.
- Prepare inventory reports and analyze stock trends to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor daily cash flow and reconcile cash drawers to ensure accuracy.
- Implement and enforce cash handling procedures to prevent discrepancies and arrange cash deposit to the Bank
- Prepare and submit daily cash reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
3. System Updates and Compliance:
- Ensure that accounting systems are updated in accordance with tourism license requirements and industry standards.
- Implement tax-related policies and updates, ensuring compliance with local tax, VAT regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of tax filings and ensure timely submission of tax returns.
- Collect Payments, implement credit policy and ensure the compliance
- Prepare and implement all required policies (related to discounts, promotions etc..) and procedures in the company
- Tax Policy Implementation:
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the hospitality industry.
- Collaborate with management to integrate tax policies into financial practices and systems.
- Assist in preparing and filing tax documents, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information is used in decision-making
- Perform any other duties as required by the Direct Manager
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Education: Requires completion of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the restaurant or hotel industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (IFS 10, IDS, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Experience: Requires at least five years of work experience, preferably in financial operations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- May require extended periods of sitting and working on a computer.
Work Environment:
- Typical office setting within a restaurant and hotel environment.
- Occasional work outside standard hours may be required.
