New mining JV, Exports first shipment from Port of Salalah 2015-11-04

Salalah-Oman, Al Jood Natural Resources & Oman Industries Gypsum entered into a Joint venture to mine and export Natural Gypsum from Oman. We have successfully exported 67,000 tons using a post panamax vessel MV SRI PREM POORVA which called salalah port recently. We have signed a long term contract with end users in the Indian sub-continent till Dec 2016 to supply 50,000 tons (using supramax vessel) every month till Dec 2016. This JV will contribute a little bit to the nation's economy in/through the non-oil exports from the Sultanate.
